Ale is one of my friends so when she asked for a few cute photos with her son Theo, it didn't feel like a job.

We met at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park, where the gothic architecture does most of the styling for you, and let the afternoon sun guide the shoot.

Theo was a toddler at the time, full of that age adorable magic where every step looks like it could be a polaroid.

The whole session was easy. A little walking, a little laughing, a few moments of Ale just holding him close while he tried to figure out what the camera was.

These are the kind of frames that turn into the photos kids look at when they're older and ask their mom what they were like back then. Glad I got to be the one to make them.
